Examinations and Grades
Types and Administration of Examinations
Final Examinations
Final examinations are administered during a designated period at the end of each semester according to the official examination schedule.
In-Semester Examinations
In-semester examinations are administered during regular class hours, either by course or at the discretion of the course instructor.
Alternative Assessments
Students may be evaluated through assignments, academic seminars, and other learning activities.
Notice of Absence from Final Examination: If a student is unable to take a final examination due to unavoidable circumstances, the student must submit a Notice of Absence from Examination, together with supporting documentation, to the dean within the applicable examination period. After receiving a Confirmation of Absence from Examination, the student must submit it to the instructor of the relevant course. An additional examination will then be administered, and a grade will be assigned.
Special Provision for Students Unable to Take an Examination: If a student has attended at least two-thirds of the total class sessions but is unable to take an examination for a reason specified in the Enforcement Regulations of the University Regulations, the student must obtain confirmation from the instructor of each applicable course on an Application for Grade Recognition, together with supporting documentation, and submit it in person to the Academic Affairs Team before the applicable examination period. The instructor will assign a grade by considering the student’s in-semester examinations, alternative assessments, and other academic performance. The highest grade that may be awarded is B+.
