Yu-Jin Choi, a doctoral student (1st semester, Department of Architecture) at Incheon National University, has been selected as a recipient of the 2026 Graduate Presidential Science Scholarship administered by the Korea Student Aid Foundation (KOSAF).
The Graduate Presidential Science Scholarship is the nation's highest-tier support program for graduate students, operated jointly by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Student Aid Foundation. It is a research talent development program designed to identify and support outstanding graduate students with the potential to grow into world-class researchers.
Selected through a rigorous screening process involving document reviews and interviews targeting science and engineering graduate students nationwide, the program awards scholarships to only 30 newly selected Ph.D. candidates across South Korea.
Under the guidance of Professor Choong-Wan Koo of the Department of Urban Architecture, Yu-Jin Choi completed her undergraduate and master's degrees at Incheon National University before entering the doctoral program in the first semester of 2026. Recognized for her exceptional research capabilities and growth potential, she was chosen for the award and will receive a scholarship of 12 million KRW per semester.
