Comparative Chinese Studies, a journal specializing in Chinese studies published by the Academy of Chinese Studies, Incheon National University, has been selected as a registered journal in the 2024 academic journal evaluation by the Korea Research Foundation.
Founded in 2020 by the Academy of Chinese Studies, Incheon National University, Comparative Chinese Studies has provided a wide range of convenience to scholars at home and abroad in Chinese by publishing high-quality papers related to humanities and social sciences in original Chinese as well as Korean. Thanks to these internationalization efforts, it has steadily increased its reputation not only in domestic but also in international academia. In particular, Comparative Chinese Studies has attracted attention as the only academic journal in Korea that encompasses not only China but also the pan-Chinese, global Chinese, and Chinese.
The Korea Research Foundation's academic journal evaluation project is a project to check the status of academic journals, and is being implemented through strict screening to improve the quality of academic journals by "securing the management system of domestic academic journals," enhance researchers' research competitiveness, promote research results, and strengthen the international competitiveness of domestic excellent academic journals.
Academy of Chinese Studies, Incheon National University has recently achieved the feat of selecting two cases among the "50 Excellence in Academic Research Support Projects" selected by the Ministry of Education. Academy of Chinese Studies, Incheon National University is making many academic achievements, including the publication of the world's first "Korean-Chinese Dictionary" (written and edited by Lee Jung-hee), as well as the selection of several excellent books and the publication of papers in international academic journals.
Professor Kim Ji-hwan (Academy of Chinese Studies, Incheon National University), the editor-in-chief of Comparative China Research, said, "The selection of the journal as a registered academic journal has been recognized for its influence and efforts in Chinese studies at home and abroad," adding, "In the future, tAcademy of Chinese Studies, Incheon National University will continue to strive to raise the status of Comparative China Research while producing higher-quality research results through academic exchanges with leading universities and academic institutions at home and abroad."
