The 展 of Korean, German, French, and British Contemporary Art Artists, organized by the National Incheon National University Formative Research Institute (Director Jang Kyung-ae), will be held at Gallery APY in Seongsu-dong until Saturday, January 4, 2025.
The four-nation exhibition, co-hosted by Incheon National University's Sculpture Research Institute and the ART PRODUCT Y Gallery, is a special exhibition where you can meet contemporary art from Korea, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom in one place. Exploring artistic concerns and original cultural colors shared by each country through artists' works, the exhibition shows how different visual languages coexist and talk.
The exhibition encompasses various genres such as painting, installation, and sculpture and deals with social, philosophical, and sensory themes facing contemporary art. Korean artists showcase experimental works that combine traditional aesthetics and modern thinking, and explore identity and cultural changes in a rapidly changing society.
This exhibition is a venue for formative experiments and cultural conversations, and a place to experience the infinite possibilities of contemporary art. I look forward to gaining new inspiration in works that cross different time and space and face the questions posed by art today.
A total of 22 people will participate, including French writer Alain Clément, German writer Dietrich Kling, Helge Leiberg, Harry Meyer, Peter Angermann, Max Ackermann, Ottmar Hörl, British writer Arthur Byron, Korean writer Ko Chan-kyu, Kwon Soon-hak, Kim Ji-hoon, Na Hyung-min, Song Yoon-ju, Woo Jong-taek, Lee Gye-won, Ilos, Jang Kyung-ae, Jo Sang-ryul, Cha Ki-yul, Ha Ji-won, and Han Hyo-seok.
