Incheon National University's Admissions Management Department Starts 'INU Major Outreach Group' of Career and Entrance Mentors for High School Students

Incheon National University (President Park Jong-tae) held an appointment ceremony and orientation for the INU Major Outreach Team at INU Cube on the 14th (Tue).
The event was attended by the final selection of INU's major outreach team in 2024, followed by greetings from Lee In-jae, vice president of external cooperation, awarding a letter of appointment from Roh Ji-seung, presentation of a briefing session, and guidance on activities.
"Your activities are a time to effectively convey our university's pride and excellence while delivering what you learned and felt at Incheon National University to high school students," said Lee In-jae, vice president of external cooperation.
The INU Major Outreach Group consists of undergraduate students at Incheon National University and is a career advancement mentor group for high school students. It works in various high school-university-linked programs, provides information on Incheon National University, and is directly selected and operated by the admissions management department to contribute to high school education.
IThe main activity of the NU major outreach group is the 'High School Visiting Major Briefing'. The high school visiting major briefing session is a program in which INU students from the major outreach team visit individual high schools in person to introduce and mentor high school students about Incheon National University and their majors. In 2023, he visited 22 high schools and worked for 5,000 students.
This year, 70 undergraduate students from 30 majors were finally selected. The selected personnel will begin full-fledged activities in July after education and training, such as producing presentation materials.
Regarding this year's activities, Koo Soo-yeon (third year of the Department of Creative Human Resources Development) said, "I want to have an unforgettable and fun time with high school students," and added, "I will do my best to promote our school and department."
Meanwhile, Incheon National University will continue to support the "2024 High School Education Contributing University Support Project" to ease the burden on test takers by strengthening the connection between the college admission process and the high school curriculum, and to restore trust in college admission by enhancing fairness and accountability in the operation of the admission process.
